Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026

This policy explains what HealthTools does with information when you visit https://healthtools.pro. It describes what we actually do, not what a generic template says. Where a practice does not apply to this site, we say so rather than listing it anyway.

The short version

The health figures you type into our calculators never reach us. Every calculation runs in your browser, so your height, weight, waist measurement, age, sex, activity level and dates stay on your own device. We have no account system, no login, and no database of visitor health data. What we do have is ordinary web server logs, cookies, and third-party advertising. All three are covered below.

Calculator inputs are never transmitted

This is the most important thing on the page, so it gets its own section. All 10 calculators on this site are implemented in JavaScript that runs locally in your browser. When you enter a measurement and see a result, no network request carrying that measurement is made. The figures are not sent to our server, not stored, not logged, and not shared with advertisers or anyone else. They exist only in your browser's memory and disappear when you close or reload the page.

The trade-off is deliberate: because we never store your inputs, we cannot save your results between visits, and we have nothing to hand over if anyone ever asks for it.

What we do collect

Server logs

Like effectively every website, our hosting provider records technical details of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system version. We use these only to keep the site running, diagnose errors and detect abuse such as automated scraping. We do not use logs to build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share them for marketing.

Information you send us deliberately

If you email us or use the form on our contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct the site. We do not add contact addresses to a mailing list and we do not use them for marketing. Please do not include personal health details in a message to us; we do not need them and cannot advise on them.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. The site's own storage covers strictly necessary operation and remembering a preference such as whether you chose metric or imperial units, plus your cookie consent choice. Advertising cookies are set by third parties, described below. Our cookie policy lists the categories in detail and explains how to control them.

What we do not collect

  • Your calculator inputs or results, as explained above.
  • Names, dates of birth or contact details, unless you send them to us yourself.
  • Payment or financial information. The site is free and we take no payments.
  • Account credentials, because there are no accounts.
  • Precise location data. We do not request GPS or device location.
  • Health records, and we do not seek to infer a health condition about an individual.

We also do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Third-party advertising

HealthTools is free to use and funded by advertising. We work with Google, including Google AdSense, to display ads.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Its use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies may include the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar identifiers, which can be used to show you personalised or non-personalised ads.
  • Third-party advertising vendors and ad networks may also collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and pages viewed, under their own privacy policies rather than ours. We do not control those cookies and cannot access the data they collect.
  • Advertising partners do not receive your calculator inputs, because those never leave your browser.

How to opt out of personalised advertising

You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. You can review how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of personalised advertising from many vendors at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://www.aboutads.info and its opt-out page optout.aboutads.info, or youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out stops ads being personalised; it does not remove ads.

Analytics

If and when we enable an analytics service, it will be used only to understand aggregate traffic patterns: which pages are read and which calculators are used most. It will never be used to identify an individual, and never in a way that could capture calculator inputs. We will update this policy and our cookie policy to name the provider before doing so.

Data retention

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or overwritten by our hosting provider. Email correspondence is kept until your query is handled and any resulting correction is recorded, then deleted. Cookies expire according to the lifetimes in our cookie policy, and you can delete them yourself at any time. Since we never receive calculator inputs, there is nothing to retain.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age in your country. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact jonestitus194@gmail.com and we will delete it. Separately, our adult calculators are not clinically appropriate for children. See our medical disclaimer.

International visitors and data transfer

The site is available worldwide and our hosting and advertising providers operate internationally. Technical information such as server logs and advertising cookie data may therefore be processed in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the safeguards those providers put in place. This does not involve your calculator inputs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal information. We honour these requests wherever they reach us, regardless of your location.

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area (UK GDPR and GDPR)

You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent for cookies at any time. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for operating and securing the site, consent for advertising and non-essential cookies, and legitimate interests for replying to your correspondence. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

If you are in California (CCPA and CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of personalised advertising, use the Google ad settings link above or choose Essential only in our cookie banner. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to make a request

Email jonestitus194@gmail.com with what you would like us to do. We aim to respond within 30 days. Please note the practical limit: because we hold no accounts and no calculator data, in most cases the only personal information we have about you is an email you sent us and, briefly, a server log entry we cannot reliably link to you as an individual.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted. Keeping calculator data in the browser removes the largest category of risk entirely. No website can promise perfect security, but we minimise exposure by collecting as little as possible.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data (adding analytics, or changing advertising partners), we will update this page and the last-updated line at the top rather than making the change quietly. Where a change materially affects your rights or introduces a new category of collection, we will describe it in this section so returning visitors can see what moved. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.

Questions about privacy can be sent to jonestitus194@gmail.com. See also our cookie policy and terms and conditions.
